Gosaikunda Trek is a prominent trek in the Langtang Region of Nepal. Gosaikunda Trek features a scenic ride to Dunche and 5 days of trekking to the holy glacial lake of Gosaikunda.
Gosaikunda Lake at 4,380 m is believed to be an abode of Lord Shiva. Hindu devotees from Nepal and India embark on a spiritual sojourn to Gosaikunda Lake to pay reverence to Lord Shiva.

Gosaikunda Trek Route
Gosaikunda Trek itinerary leads you through the northern rim of Kathmandu Valley and Langtang National Park. Take a bus ride to Dunche before hitting the trail to Gosaikunda Lake. Walk through an easy trail for 3-4 hours till you reach Thulo Syabru.
The next day, ascend to Sing Gompa, a beautiful Tamang village. Continue on the trail and in a few hours you reach Gosaikunda Lake. There are a few teahouses and hotels that serves tea and food.

On the fifth day, you descend to Sing Gompa and Dunche. Return to Kathmandu by bus.

Gosaikunda Trek is an easy to moderate trek, suitable for all age groups and fitness Novice as well as experienced trekkers can complete this trek. Gosaikunda height, which is 4,460m, is the highest elevation of your trek.
The trekking trail is comparatively easier as you will have to walk an average of 3-4 hours per day. Maximum time spent walking is 6 hours.
