These lakes are the highest freshwater lake system in the world. The perfect view of the lakes can be enjoyed by climbing Gokyo Ri, a small hill rising above the lakes.
While the Everest Base Camp trail is usually busy and crowded, the Gokyo Valley route is secluded and peaceful. Taking the route connecting both these destinations rewards you with a more enriching experience.
