Mardi Himal & Khopra Ridge Trek Route
Your adventure to Mardi Himal and Khopra Danda starts and ends in Kathmandu. On the first day, you will drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Next, you will enjoy a short ride to Kande from Pokhara. Trek to Forest Camp following an easy trail. Your next destination is High Camp. The forested trail is left behind once you reach High Camp, and your ridgeline adventure begins.
The trail demands a few ascents and descents through rhododendron and oak forests. On the 4th day, you will hike to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m, from where you can marvel at the close-up views of Mardi Himal and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). After enjoying this beautiful moment, you descend to Low Camp.
Further, trek to Ghandruk, one of the picturesque villages in Annapurna Region. Continue the trail to Dobato and Khopra Ridge. Enjoy a panoramic view of mountains like Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. You will spend another day at Khopra Danda and take a day tour to Khayer Lake. Khayer Lake is a sacred lake for Hindus, and people believe that bathing in the lake leads to the attainment of ‘Nirvana’ or enlightenment.
Further, continue your trek to Swanta village, Ghorepani, and Poon Hill. Poon Hill is a vantage point from where you get to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains. Descend to Hile and drive to Pokhara. On the final day, you drive back to Kathmandu and end this marvelous adventure.
