Everest Three High Passes Trek is the topmost adventure trekking in the Everest Region. Traverse three high passes of Everest region- Kongma La Pass (5,535m), Chola Pass (5,420m), and Renjo La Pass (5,360m).

Everest Three High Passes Trek Route

Everest Three High Passes Trek Itinerary begins and ends in Kathmandu. Fly to Lukla, the gateway of Everest, and trek to the village of Phakding.

Hike to Namche Bazaar followed by a trek past villages of Tengboche and Dingboche. Go on a hike to popular Nagarjun Hill situated at 5,100 meters, overlooking the stunning views of Makalu and Lhotse. Enjoy views of Lhotse and Island Peak on your way to Chukkung Village.

Day 8 of your Everest Three High Passes Trek is significant as you will be crossing your first high pass, Kongma La Pass. A strenuous climb on a rugged terrain will lead you to the apex of Kongma La Pass 5,535 meters high.

Bask on the exceptional view of the Himalayas including Everest from the high mountain pass. Descend cautiously and rest at your teahouse in Lobuche.

Stand at Everest Base Camp with stunning views of Khumbu icefall and mountains like Nuptse and Lhoste. Wake up early and catch a spectacular sunrise over Mount Everest from Kala Patthar.

Get a good rest overnight at Dzongla as you will be crossing another high pass on the next day. Trekking on the Cho La Pass route is demanding. You will be walking on rugged terrain, crossing Cho La glacier, and traversing a steep climb up to Cho La Pass.

After soaking in the soul-stirring views of Himalayas and glaciers cautiously descend a slope with a rugged path to Thanak. Continue your trek on rugged terrain and hike past spectacular Gokyo Valley before crossing your third high mountain pass.

Renjo La Pass is comparatively less difficult than Chola Pass and Kongma La Pass. Enjoy the climb and bask in the Himalayan beauty from the top. Trek to Namche Bazaar and celebrate the accomplishment of your trek.

Your Everest Three High Passes Trek ends with a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Everest Three High Passes Trek 17 days is a moderate to difficult trek.

The maximum height that you will attain during the trek is 5,550 meters at Kala Patthar. Your maximum trekking duration is 9 hours and a minimum hiking hour is 3 hours approx.

On average, you will be trekking for roughly 6 hours. Everest Three High Passes Trek is high altitude trekking and involves trekking over 5,000 meters on rugged terrain. It is physically demanding and you need to be reasonably fit.
