Annapurna Circuit Trek is a popular classic trek in the Himalayas of Nepal. Traverse through diverse landscapes ranging from subtropical forests, rural farmland, paddy fields to a high mountain pass, and arid cliffs.

Thorang La Pass Trek is the highlight of this trek. Cross the Thorong La pass, one of the high mountain passes in Nepal and hike across the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki Gorge. Walk past picturesque villages, home to Gurungs and Thakalis.

Trek to Poon Hill, a vantage point and Ghandruk, a beautiful village for unforgettable experience.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Route

Start your Annapurna Circuit trek 18 days from Kathmandu. Embark on 6-7 hours ride to Khudi from Kathmandu and rest for the day.

The next day you will walk up to Sirung through a sub-tropical forest, crossing a few suspension bridges and waterfalls. The trek further ascends to Jagat, Dharapani, Chame, and Upper Pisang before arriving at Manang.

On the 8th day, you will acclimatize at Manang and hike to Ice Lake. Walk uphill to Phedi, cross Thorong La pass, one of the highest passes in the world, to reach Muktinath Temple. The trail then descends to Marpha, Kalopani, and Tatopani.

On the 16th day, you will hike to Poon Hill to admire the stunning sunrise and panoramic views of the soaring Himalayas in the Annapurna region. Follow the trail to Kimche via Ghandruk and drive back to Pokhara.

You will conclude the Annapurna Circuit guided trek with a drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara.

Annapurna Circuit Trek Difficulty

Annapurna Circuit Trek is graded moderate to difficult trek, ideal for experienced trekkers. However, a novice trekker can opt for this trek with proper plan and preparation.

The highest elevation of the trek is 5,416m. On a challenging day, you will trek for 7-8 hours a day.
