Ama Dablam Base Camp and EBC Trek Route
The marvelous journey to Ama Dablam Base Camp and Everest Base Camp starts with a flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. After landing at Lukla airport, pack your stuff and head towards Phakding with your Sherpa crew. The trail descends gradually until you reach Phakding. The next day, you will slowly ascend passing through rhododendron and pine forests.
The trail further continues to Khumjung, Phortse, and Pangboche. On the 6th day, you will hike from Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp and enjoy exquisite scenery. The next day you will trek to Dingboche and spend two nights acclimatizing.
Hike to Nagarjun Hill at 5,100m to admire the spectacular scenery. Continue the trail to Lobuche and Gorak Shep before visiting Everest Base Camp. After completion of the EBC Trek, you will hike to Kala Patthar and retrace your steps back to Namche and Lukla. End the trek with a flight to Kathmandu.
Ama Dablam Base Camp and EBC Trek Difficulty
Ama Dablam Base Camp and EBC Trek is a moderate to difficult trek suitable for both novice and experienced trekkers. The trek demands average walking hours of 4-5 hours per day. On a challenging day, you must walk for 7-8 hours.
